Default '91 964 Cabrio with D.Moris Hardtop

Year: 1991
Make: Porsche
Model: 911
Mileage (numbers only please): 107000
Color: Guards Red
Price (no $ sign please): $34500
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (Region): NorCal
Body Style: Cabriolet
Transmission Type: Manual - 5 speed
2 or 4 Wheel Drive?: 2 Wheel Drive
Engine Type: Fuel Injection
Stereo System: None

FS/Trade or best reasonable offer. This car is not for everybody, and I'm not offended. I bought this car with the assumption that I'd never sell it, and treated it accordingly. I have spent $14,008 since I bought it 2 years ago turning it into what it is today (and that's with buying heavily discounted OEM parts both here and from Sonnen. I'd probably faint if I looked at the retail price of everything I've done

Guards Red 964 Cabrio with a hard top. No soft top. Has 106,XXX miles. Currently awaiting a new set of horns to be installed and a kit from D.Moris to perfect the fit (just in time for spring, ha).

The bad: No radio, comes with OEM radio delete. Few small (less than quarter sized) bangs on passenger door, can only be seen at a certain angle. Current hood is in rough shape. I have a painted ready to install OEM hood that was nicked in the corner during transport. I did not want to install until I had a professional take care of the nick on the new bumper. Both bumpers will go with the car. Since the back seats are the newer style (with the button up top rather than the janky pull at the bottom) they don't sit up well. A new, larger hole in the center catch will resolve this. PPI from 1.5 years ago and recent service showed some oil leaking through the O-rings. I do not get more than a few drops of oil on my garage floor a month.

And on to the good:

This past month, I spent over $2,500 having the following items taken care of professionally:

- Replace Alternator
- Replace internal distributor belt and lube bearings
- Replace Fender Seals
- Replace Engine Fan and Fan Bearing
- Paint and replace existing "flag" mirrors for oem 993 "aero" mirrors (original will come with)
- Repair Left and Right Axle shafts
- Install OEM RS Engine Mounts
- Install Momo Competition Steering wheel (original + airbag will come with)
- Perform Valve Adjustment

Prior to the past month the following items have been attended to:

- Replace with new rear tail lights
- Replace ceramic oil cooler resistor
- Install Rennline Full Race track mats (underneath cocomats, replaced the old wooden floorboards)
- Install Tan full leather with black piping comfort seats with Porsche Crest in headrest. Rear seats back match with same contrast piping. Seat bottom in rear are original black leatherette.
- Replace engine temp. sensor
- Replace driver's door lock actuator
- Install Full Leather RS Door cards (OEM door cards will come with; see pictures)
- New window switches all around
- New windshield and windshield gasket. Re-apply rust-proofing. Confirmed there was no rust in windshield area.
- Clean front oil cooler and replace gasket
- Install RS Bridge plug for airbags (a must if you put a car seat in the front and/or install a non-airbag steering wheel)

Additionally the following items are included:
Full set of CocoMats (see pictures)
Halon Extinguisher with Brey-Krause adapter (see pictures)
Brey-Krause strut bar
Retro spare key with leather keychain with VIN number inprinted
Extra DME Relay
Extra window switch
Extra Blower Relay
Extra HD Struts for hood or engine cover
Extra full painted hood with Porsche emblem and catch

Will come with nearly complete tool set (not sure if it's missing anything, so will say it's "nearly" complete) and OEM pump with both plastic tabs there (one loose, for the super-**** out there; but it does come with the very rare flashlight).

For sure. Taking top off takes about 15 minutes.

Video drive 2/12/16. Hard top gaskets from D.Moris shipped today to complete installation. Curious how "rattly" it is vs. a coupe. These are pretty rough roads.

Car got a bath today too, looks awesome. New horn action at 3:11. Very pleased.

Would you consider trading the hardtop for a soft top plus cash on top ?

I'm not, but the next owner might be. Potential buyers - this is great for your optionality; if you want to return to stock, you can lower your basis and revert to a traditional cab. That said, I think one drive with the top on and on without the top and you will be hooked.

Will be posting some updated photos soon. But bump, car is about to end on Ebay with a couple offers around 30K. Keep seeing some nice 997.2's that I would jump on if this were sold, but I guess the longer this sits the more valuable it is, whereas the .2's are going the other direction

Also forgot to mention it comes with an OEM indoor (1x) and outdoor (1x) car cover, an extra set (2x) of used cabrio vertical seals ($177/each), and extra latches.

New photos updated in main post. A few added here.

4 speed manual? I thought MY 1991 was either 5 speed manual (g50) or 4 speed auto. GLWS

Ha, fixed. I thought long and hard about swapping for a 356 transmission, but in the end decided to keep the G50
