Not trying to start an argument, but could someone help me understand why you'd buy a previously owned car at the MSRP when you can get one at a Porsche dealer for the same price and be the first owner?

Supply and Demand. You cant walk into a dealer and buy one new. All the builds are spoken for. Dealers are asking between 10-20k over msrp. Some folks on the forum are more realistic and sell at msrp or in some cases less/more depending on options and mileage.

I can chime in from the buyer side. I have looked at a lot of cars from dealers. First, there are no new cars from dealers. At least I found none. Second, the used ones are generally going for $5 to $20k over MSRP, and in most cases finding a well optioned car is hard. The best deal I found was about $3k over MSRP, but it wasn't optioned exactly like I wanted. Ryan's car was. In this case, the price was actually below MSRP, considering the extras (exhaust, lights, etc.). This same car at a dealer would have easily been $5 to $10k over MSRP. Ryan is also an awesome guy to deal with, so avoiding the dealer "experience" was just a plus IMO. Ryan made more than he would have by selling back to a dealer, and I paid less than I would have buying from a dealer. Total win-win.
