Only a very few were made in 2005 before they switched over to the 997, I believe it was between 4-6 cars total. It has the upgraded 3.8L with the sequential box with shorter gears, both both have 19 hours. New belts, updated seat and coolsuit, extra set of wheels with new michelin rains. Car is in original trim and has the sachs 4 way adjustables that it came with. I had GMG fully prep the car and go through everything. I did to a shakedown in it and I was faster than in my 2012 GTC cup car so it does very well. These cars will hold long term value while you race them today and it needs nothing other than to go racing, located in Colorado. MOV_4147_zpsa6112e51.mp4 Video by awelch | Photobucket

What a great machine. Love the 996 RSR looks. Just for me to learn: 2005 996 Cup does not have the safety cage going to the front shock tower. Your car has. Is that one of the many differences between Cup and RSR ?
