I had always planned to work another maybe 4 years before I retire. But the massive changes in health care that are already starting as a result of Obamacare have simply sucked all the joy and satisfaction out of working in this field. Don't mean to be political - it's just the way it is.
So I want the freedom to retire at any minute. I don't know exactly when that will be, but I'm pretty sure it will be a good bit less than 4 years from now.
If I sell the Merc, it will remove that debt, plus I have enough equity in the car that I can also pay off my wife's Lexus at the same time.
And I will be a free man. It will give me the freedom to retire the very moment I finally decide, "Screw it! I can't take it any longer!"
So that freedom has become a higher priority than a car - as wonderful and amazing as it is - which is essentially a toy, one that I now drive less than 5K miles a year purely for fun.

OK, I lied. I'm dropping the price one more time, and THIS will be the last price reduction! For sure! I really REALLY mean it this time!
...Had to swallow hard to break through the $30K barrier.

The car has sold to a fellow Rennlister - so it's going to a great new home!
