This is an automatic but the BMW website seems to indicate that the Lime Rock edition was only a manual. Did they produce both?

The dual clutch was an option. Well worth the extra $. It's brilliant.

"think GT3 fast without the handling" - Not understanding this.

It has grunt and revs to 8600 like a maniac.

But doesn't turn like anything Porsche makes. Mostly because it's overweight. Of course, it also has adult-sized back seats, a huge trunk, can be super quiet and has a auto mode.

I've put many miles on my 07 GT3 and 11'RS. Believe me, this thing has motor.

Sweet ride, I had to trade my 08 Carrera S in for a 2011 S4 when my 10 year old couldn't fit in the back of the Carrera anymore. I love the P cars, obviously, but sometimes you need rear seats and a useable trunk. Especially when your kids get bigger and you need to haul their golf bags, lax equipment, football equipment etc.

What that puppy needs is Dinan's 4.6L 520hp stroker in it.....then we're talking.

I drove an M3 sedan with the stroker motor. It was nuts. However, the car has DCT and it just wasn't happy. Needed a shifter and clutch pedal.

If I needed another E9X M3, this would be the one. Perfect.

There's a LR, manual M3 at the local dealer. It really does look great! Thinking about that inconel exhaust for mine.
