I believe only 510 944 S2 models with the wing shaped rear spoiler were shipped to the U.S. The car is in mint condition.
Maintenance is up to date. The car has always been kept in excellent condition and it still drives like it did when I first took delivery. The car has been maintained religiously at 5,000 mile intervals by Callas Rennsport since August 1993. It has burned only premium gas. There has been no expense spared in maintaining this vehicle. Callas replaced the engine with a genuine Porsche short block at 195,692 miles. Clutch, water pump, fuel pump, cambelts, timing belt, motor mounts, strut assemblies, right front control arm, rear rotors, coil, flow meter, battery, CV joints, AC Compressor, brakes, rollers, hoses, windshield wiper motor, radio, timing belts, seat covers, front wheel bearings were all replaced over time. New clutch at 278,741 miles. New Catalytic Converter at 240,070 miles. New Calipers, motor mount at 249,621. New alternator at 253,042. New cambelts at 256,515. New brake hoses at 264,910. The car is in mint condition. There were very few 1991 S2 models sent to the U.S., with the new 968 rear spoiler, such as this one. Apparently only 510 of the 1991 S2’s were sold in the U.S. Market.
