As to the needs, I have started and driven it. The battery is weak and will probably need to be replaced. The big thing is that the torque tube bearings are bad. The torque tube really hums when you are driving the car. I have a quote from Pete's European Techniques in Pittsburgh (412-262-1402) for about $1300 to repair it, in labor. The parts are about $500 - to get a rebuilt torque tube from 928 International in CA (http://www.928intl.com/).
The other stuff I saw with the car is it is missing a bolt in the upper rear hatch mechanism - it still works fine, but a bolt should be installed. There is a crack on the dash pod top. This is very common in these cars, not real noticable.
I tested all of the systems like sunroof, windows, radio, electric seats, wipers front and rear, lights, and all of those things worked fine for me. I have a stack of service records going back quite a bit, plus the dealer maintanence stamps in the manuals.
The price, due to the torque tube, is $6000 obo. Pictures are here:

Call me with questions at 412- three two 8- 4740. The car is in the Pittsburgh area.

Okay folks, deal apparently fell through as buyer was unable to get the car. So, if interested, let me know.
