1986 Porsche 944 Turbo track car (red)
~140k mi on chassis, ~100k mi on engine

I’m a long-time Rennlist lurker and am selling my street-legal track-day 944 turbo. I bought it stock 10yrs ago at 100k mi and have converted it over for track use. Interior, A/C and heat have been removed. In 2009 the original engine failed (rod bearings) so I installed a replacement engine and tracked it for another year.

Overall, the car is in reasonable shape and comes with a binder full of receipts. Although the shifting is smooth there is some noise coming from the gearbox. The gearbox should be evaluated before tracking it.

Replaced original engine with ‘87 engine from SSI Performance in Parkville, MD
Head freshened by Specialty Cars in Allentown, PA
New clutch/pressure plate (incl pilot bearing and throwout bearing)
New waterpump, belts and rollers
New rod bearings
