They drive totally different.
993RS sounds mean with the Varioram. The lumpy cam of the 3.8 is awesome. Gearing seems taller. It feels more planted in the rear. More like a 997 RS in a lot of ways.
964RS more cabin noise. Feels nimble. Power is perfect. Gears are short every shift seems right. Gets nervous when driven hard. Love the effort it takes and the feedback it gives on a spirited drive. Seats are perfect. Simplicity of the interior is how an RS should be.
When I had them back to Back 964RS was the one I drove and enjoyed the most on the street. That may have been because of the 993 Cup I tracked quite a bit. 993RS felt a little soft. Not as much of an event. Almost too good.
Need one of each 993RS one of the best looking of all P cars.
