Bozeman is wonderful place to live but a lousy place to sell a performance minded car, sold many Porsche's, BMW's etc. from here but it always takes a little pricing relief to make deals happen. I could take car to AZ and sell from there but really not worth my time for the extra $$. Folks either have to fly here to inspect car or buy sight unseen and shipping which generally means buying something under market to make it worthwhile. All I can say is I would have bought this car in 5 minutes if it had been available when I was shopping a couple of years ago.

 

I think part of it is also the new warranty that VWs began to be offered with (6 years) starting in 2018 that's making people think twice before buying used ones. I know I've been thinking about a new Golf R as a DD for that reason as well.

 

That is true as well, you are competing with the dealers new car sales, associated discounts and car improvement etc. This car has been discounted $12k after 18 months of light use I would hope that would be a sufficient discount over new but we'll see

Yes I have it listed there as well- everyone seems to be having a tough time with the idea of flying somewhere to buy a VW.

Offered $27,400 from dealer rather sell to an individual

 

Just sold my 2017 R outright to a local Ford Dealer. They offered me more than the VW dealer I bought the car from.

Had 7150 miles. Manual. It had DCC and DAP standard. Interior was showroom new. Outside was 9.5/10.

Anyhow, sold to the dealer for $30,500. I was happy. Could have tried selling private sale for 33 or 34K, but no annoyances or anyone coming over and kicking tires!

 

Argh. If it was blue, you'd have a check already. Best of luck with the sale!

 

May be a bit of a PITA, but if you brought the car to a place like Denver, it would probably sell faster closer to your price.
