Correct. I have found it is a complete waste of time dealing with them.

> $300k = sitting (look at the listing dates of some of the cars posted for sale). Would have been great if people just bought these beauties and drove them. The days of me buying a car so I can throw it in a garage, polish her when she is dusty, and take pictures at cars and coffee = long gone.

+1

That's my general attitude towards most dealers = waste of time.

Private party is the way to go.

Keep looking and take your time, you'll find what you want eventually without the BS.

Given there are so few 911 rs out there I've wondered whether there is a resource where you could find out if the must have options of the OP make the hunt unrealistic.

Lots of money sloshing around out there. Roughly 2x a nicely spec'd Touring. This multiple is insane.

I could've bought a perfect black 911R recently with magnesium wheels and full aftermarket exhaust for $35k less. Turned it down after a lot of thought m, and the next day a stock that I was going to sell to fund dropped 25% over next two days. #myluck

Rich, I tend to not budge after setting mental limits, and didn't want aftermarket exhaust and didn't want to pay for the expensive wheels.

I think these cars will easily come down below 300k with the GT3T's available with manuals. There just isn't enough of a difference to justify the prices.
