Let me to disagree with you and here are some facts... if we look at 991.2 GT3 with manual transmission, that originally came from 911 R, where it was adopted from other 991 manual and put into 991.1 GT3 PDK case to fit into the car. This is a gearbox designed to work with naturally aspirated engines. As for Turbo charged engines for 911 the last manual option has been for 997.2 Turbo (997.2 Turbo S was PDK only) and it shows that the more power and torque the harder to match with manual transmission (997 GT2RS was not completly 997.2 series, becasue it used 997.1 GT2 engine, so the last Mezger's engine in contrary to 997.2 Turbo with DFI engine). So I do not belive Porsche would be willing to make 991.2 GT2 with manual setup, which would not make sens in terms of power distribution in compare to other 991.2 Turbo S and Exclusive Series which as we all know are PDK only. Hypoteticaly 991.2 GT2 manual ought to be better than any other 991.2 Turbo S and worst in terms of performance then 991.2 GT2RS and with this assumption it is not doable and not worth doing for Porsche AG (aka VAG)... in my opinion

ps. Era of manual GT2 has ended... by the way look at upcoming new emission standards (since 01 of September 2017 and 2018) Porsche has to deal with.

JWrightPNH Thanks I think also that production capacity is also crucial here... the best selling Porsche is Macan, unfortunatelly not 911. 911 is still there so to speak only for heritage and marketing purpose I guess..
