Get it checked for Variocam Recall AH08
It's more miles than we want, but just a head's-up to check your cam adjusters for part no. xxxx.21 &/or the defective bolts as described at the 6speed link below.
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...s-failure.html
It's a long thread, but important to read thru completely & avoid use until fixed so you don't ruin the motor or have an accident - depending on which side(s) cam adjuster/bolts fail, you will lose the power steering & brakes &/or fuel pump, bolt fragments can ruin the engine &/or the cams can slam into the pistons with possible engine seizure - which could be serious if at speed, on a twisty road, etc. The guys on the post were instrumental in getting NHTSA to force a recall.
The NHTSA post below underplays the seriousness of the failure as "stalling" - which is Porsche cover-up BS - & there are known 2012 Cay V8s with the defective part, despite Porsche only linting the Panamera 2012 V8s.

GLWTS!

It's more miles than we want, ... PS - we're looking for a 2008-14 CayS with <60K miles & no rust/salt belt cars, FYI.
... - & there are known 2012 Cay V8s with the defective part, despite Porsche only listing the both Panamera 2011 & 12 V8s, but only 2011 CayS.
GLWTS!
