2000 Porsche 911 996 C2. 6 speed manual. Car is not running, I bought it as a non-runner project hoping it was an easy fix. Upon digging into the car, we found that there is metal in the oil and some scoring in cylinders #4 and #6. I'd guess the IMS has let go or is about to let go. Would need to rebuild the engine or swap in a replacement. Car is complete otherwise. Anything removed is in the front trunk (fuse box cover, rear relay cover, air intake etc).

I put a new battery in so you can turn the key on, car will crank over but obviously won't start. All accessories seem to work, lights work etc. Brakes build and hold pressure just fine, clutch feels light and smooth. My guess was that the car was running and driving just fine until the engine gave out.

Car does not come with the BBS wheels, it will come with the 10 spoke wheels shown in the last picture. I have center caps too I have to dig up and will include.

EDIT - received a few messages on the price so I dropped it down from $6800 to $5950. Hopefully this is more in line with what the car is worth.

Sounds like d clunk issue, major rebuild or replace. Usually a d clunk issue requires new cylinder liners.

Stick a Chevy LS3 engine in there and you're good to go. Adaptor kits here:

Agreed, def a candidate for a swap or repower. Its a pretty solid car overall and should make a nice project for the right buyer.

Car is located in Mount Laurel NJ. My summer place is on LBI but car is about an hour away.
