We have the Honda 6000 EU with 2 15K AC units on the trailer and a lot of electronics from 55' tv to 3 laptops, Wifi, battery invertor for 2 batteries, charging golf cart, multiple radio charger and tool chargers, and the compressor. Only time we have an issue is sometimes when we power on the Keurig in the morning...

Fwiw, I went to my local RV store's service department. Told them what I wanted to do (planned for a/c), and the accessories. They installed a wired plug with junction box, spec'd to the load, and into the panel on the trailer.
Not sure how much room you have, but I'm running dual Honda 2000 units. They run quiet, fuel efficient, and have the bonus of being very portable if you want to use them for something else (like running your refridgerator in a power outage).

The 3000 honda is about perfect. A little small to run an A/C unit though if you plan on that in the future. It runs compressors, lights, etc without issue. We use a 2000 in the pits for phones, laptops, etc. During the heat of the summer we leave the 3000 at home and take the 6000 that will run the A/C. The 3000 is so nice because of it's small size. Can't go wrong with a honda generator, they are all quiet and efficient.

so you have a 4 wire set up.
Yamaha and honda are the best out there. They are quiet and your paddock neighbor will appreciate that too.
A 3000 watt generator may run your ac but start up is hard on it and it may pop the breaker.
Your biggest issue is what fits in the hole right. I would look at the yamaha 4500 watt or if possible the perfect one is the honda 6000 watt.
I have a similar set up where the generator is permanently mounted on a slider and then I slide the generator out and start it and plug it into the 4 wire plug in. The generator never overheats and get plenty of air so the exhaust doesnt get into the trailer.
I always look at a trailer and built it to where I can do everything by myself.
Let me know if you need any pics.
