Anyone using a 14' Featherlite to haul a 911?
Looking to purchase an aluminum open trailer for my 'RS. Was looking at 18' trailers then a used 14' Featherlite came up for sale in my area at a reasonable price. Anyone have any experience using this trailer? Too short?

Measure the length of your car and you will have an answer. My guess is *** heavy car will make towing very un safe with weight hanging off the end. Not even sure if you could get the rear wheels on without overhanging the front end.

One could always try and back it on to get the tongue weight into the ball park.

I tow a Boxster with a Featherlite 14... Mid engine car was difficult to get enough tongue weight. I would imagine with a 911 and a 14 you might even want to back it on... The other downside to the 14 is the ramps are a bit shorter and store in the side rather than the rear so I need Race Ramps as well. Like you though, I saw one for under 5k and the deal was too good to pass up. Other than the couple of workarounds it is a great trailer, I am extremely happy...

I have seen a GT3 on a 14' and he had loaded it with the backend towards the front. It was so tight and it looked really challenging to even access the tie downs. At a minimum I would go 18' and even better is a 20'.

Great towing length trailer
I went and measured the trailers at UHaul since they work well for me with mid engine backed up on it(no tail and rear bumper right at edge) and a vintage pickup all the way to Austin,TX. Nose first.
The trailers surprisingly were only 12' 6" ramps which made me think the 14 ft trailer in question would be darn near perfect. Light tongue weight *might* be an issue. Since tail can't go under tire rack.
