1. Open trailer.
2. Car, 8 wheels/tires and fuel jugs
3. Aluminum - The Mrs. wouldn't go for a pick up. Thus, my SUV is the tow vehicle. Also, lighter weight equals better fuel efficiency.
4. Trailex. Reputation and recommendation.
5. Bought new. End of season sale enticed me.
6. Proximity was somewhat a factor.
7. Probably not, but I would look over emailed material.

1. Open trailer
2. Car, spare set of wheels & tires
3. Aluminum - had a steel open but was going to downsize the tow vehicle so bought aluminum, ended up not downsizing tow vehicle, which is best of both worlds
4. Trailex. Because of reputation, which is well deserved.
5. Bought used off of Rennlist. Old steel one was bought used from a local dealer
6. N/A, although I drove to DC to meet RLer (about 100 miles)
7. No, but I would reference a resource like etrailer.com has done or the folks at Pelican Parts have on their site for how tos and tips and tricks. Would also read something emailed.

Hi Scott
So sorry your CargoPro wasn't built to the quality they were back when mine was built (2003).
There's a lesson (for me) there.

Enclosed

Car, two sets of wheels, tools, jack canopy spares and 4 jugs of fuel

All aluminum

Bought used

Pace American

Would have bought from dealer far away. Looked at several. Wanted a dealer with expertise in setting up trailers for cars. All aluminum a requirement for longevity, weight and overall quality.

Clinics or seminars not of value unless webcast. No local dealers know diddly about truly setting up car hauling trailers

Rick-
No apologies needed. It is doing its job very well, just don't recommend the manufacturer due to build quality issues......

3. Steel, used trailer for sale locally
4. BigTex, they're everywhere down here
