Default Trailer Cleaning Solution

I just tried Krud Kutter on my trailer and it did a fantastic job. Cleans all the stains and does not attack the aluminum. You do need to wear protective gloves though, ask me how I know. $12 a gallon on Amazon.

Looks like it does a pretty good job. I checked out their website and see it is a RustOleum product. I also noticed they sell a pressure washer concentrate that looks to be ideal for lazy people like me.

Do you follow the wash up with wax?

I have always used Royal Purple or Simple Green on my trailers and RVs, will be interesting to see how this stuff stacks up.

I follow up with a spray wax, typically Mothers. I've used simple green too, but I'm sold on the KK. Thanks for the tip on the concentrate, I usually start with the pressure washer after returning from the track, so I'll give it a try next time.

Next task is to remove everything from the interior and give it a wash.

How do you think this would do on an anodized open Trailex.

Any Trailex owners out there with any tips?

I would recommend trying it on a small area to ensure it doesn't adversely effect the anodized finish.

Trailex trailers are easily cleaned with a good pressure washer. I typically get great results when I take my time cleaning every square inch properly including inside the grooves

Our detail department will do anywhere from 10-15 trailers a day, and typically use a heated pressure washer for aluminum cleaning. Depending on the type of finish we either use a citrus-based degreaser (I'd have to check with detail for the exact product but it's purchased in bulk) or an acid-based cleaner to deep clean aluminum.

For light duty cleanup a good car wash and brush or mitt takes care of 90% of our needs.

Thanks for Krud Kutter tip. My trailer is black and heavily oxidized. I've tried polishing compounds, cleaner wax etc. pretty happy with KK progress on a test panel. Will do rest of trailer over next couple days- then follow up with a pressure wash and spray wax
