In need of new tires for my Duramax Silverado 2500. We have a bumper pull that weighs about 11K fully loaded. Anyone like a particular tire for towing and daily driving?

Been using the toyo open country at3/4 for a while now and been real happy on my 2003 dodge 2500. Probably have bought 5 or 6 sets over the last 200k miles. I get about 35k miles a set but it almost all surface street driving so the wear faster.

Always been a fan of the BFG All Terrain KO2 Tires. Use them on all my trucks I've owned and it has never been an issue. I tow a 12k trailer with my F250

If you're looking for highway/all-season tires, I just put a pair of Conti TerrainContact H/T on my truck and like them a lot. Quiet and a better ride than the OE Coopers that were removed. I tried them in the snow a few weeks ago and they were fine.
I usually check Tire Rack for consumer ratings; these Conti's were rated very highly.

I had the Michelin Defender LTX MS2 in the past and had to discard them at 5 years & ~20k miles because the sidewalls cracked. Common issue w/ Michelins . My truck is stored outside, but if you store inside probably not an issue. Aside from that I liked the tire.

Honestly I would not do the Michelin. Have sold a ton of them over the years and they are just not the same tire they used to be. I would look at the Continental Terrain Contact or the Yokohama Geolander. The cost of the Michelins isn't justifed. The AT2 is not that great of a tire anymore.
