Removal of conspicuity tape on Trailer

Hi Guys,

My trailer is a 2009. The conspicuity tape is starting to peel. When it comes off the old adhesive is hard as a rock. Does anyone have experience removing this adhesive? Any tricks?

Not specifically that tape. But heat from a hair dryer or heat gun, and 3M Adhesive Remover should do the trick.

I have heard that a steamer helps. Provides moisture and heat together to break down the dry rotted adhesive.
