Thermal painted roof

Has anybody painted their aluminum roof with white 'thermal paint'? If so, could you tell any difference with not absorbing as much heat from the sun? Or is the stuff a gimmick? Thanks in advance!

Alumimum has low absorption high reflectivity. White is slightly better. Does thermal paint have an insulation component. If not. Then snake oil
