Like I said, I ordered the Race Ramp Trailer Mates Monday evening and they will be here Thursday. Not soon enough as I had to load my car last night for my 11Hr drive to Sebring tomorrow. I did pull a couple of 2"x12"x4's I had in the garage, placed them on the trailer and drove onto them and OMG, what a difference in tying the car down. What used to take 20+ minutes and an even longer string of profanity to tie down the front end took about 5 mins. and straps actually had room to cross one another. No worries at all here. Looking forward to the Race Ramps to arrive for the next time.

Frank & Paul:

I have some fundamental discomfort with tying my car down with something that moves (such as the ramps in the pix) that you guys mention. How did you handle that?
I don't have a problem just drilling through them, but the material is foam (so its light) and won't take a shearing load.

My car is very low too. I use the rennline's fore and aft. Front is a nuisance because I have to fiddle a bit in order to make sure the front strap winches will clear the spoiler even closed, so its tempting for sure.

In my experience, hey don't move. They have a bit of a textured finish. I have tape on the floor to mark the spot, set the ramps there, drive onto the trailer, then onto the ramps. They have never slipped yet, and I've had them for years. There is a cradle that the tire sits in, so once strapped down, I don't really see how they could slip

I have used the RR trailer mates for a couple of years and they work well, and they don't move at all.
