Best way to get parts for Trailex CT 7541?
Anyone here have experience buying parts?
The left tail light on my trailer needs to be replaced.
Went to the Trailex website, and found what appeared to be a diagram of the correct model trailer on the parts page.
Ordered the light and bracket, cost about $28ish
Shipping and handling cost $35 !!!
Ten days later, the wrong parts show up.
I'm not finding any other options on their website, and I'd REALLY like to avoid paying S&H again.

When I needed a replacement tail light, I called Karl. He gave me the model number and told me to buy it from Amazon. I think it was 12.00

eTrailer.com, replaced with LED tail units on my 1999 Trailex eaxct fit / match, LED running lights were a different style and required drilling one (of two) screw holes. Replaced e-brake battery while at it and 5th wheel jack w/ a swivel 2 wheel unit.

Thanks very much everyone.
Left a couple vms for Karl and another gentleman at Trailex. No respond yet.
Thanks Kevin for bringing up going the alternate route:
Anyone know what the part number is for the Left tail light and L bracket for that side?

This is a drivers side tail light. My bracket was bent but saveable. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002DPHDF0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I need a passenger side tail light. Shall I buy both lights (to match) or would the light from this new one (passenger side) match the other side?

Anyone able to source plug&play CT-7541 LED tail lights from a place other than Trailex? Just got a $42 + $32 s/h Trailex quote for the passenger side light which seems a tad on the high side.

Look carefully at the link. There is a different part number for left or right side. Not sure about LED options.

The Trailex price is not that far out of line. Featherlight replacements for an open trailer is $35 plus $25 shipping. Seems like a ripoff. There's a difference in price for Left vs. Right because the Left unit has a white light at the bottom to shine on the license plate.

I have 2011 Trailex (model 8045) with LED lighting. The taillight assemblies are made by Peterson. Replacement Peterson assemblies can be found online. If you are currently running incandescent lighting, I highly recommend upgrading to LEDs, especially if you are replacing full tail light assemblies.
