When my MyPorsche app notified me this morning of a Porsche press event or unveiling, I was hopeful for the 992.2. Then I saw it was a Taycan, I assumed it was the Taycan.2 refresh. Then I saw it was just a Taycan above the Turbo S and realized this wasn't really a production car as much as it is a unicorn car for the very few, a just to say we did it, can do it, car.
Moving on.

Cars like this and the cayenne GT bring as close as you can get to driving a 911 in a large suv and now a sedan
For people who drive off the track thats appealing

I agree with the point. Not all like change, but, this push for EV is to me the most exciting thing in the auto industry. I own 3 of the best generations of 911 (and have owned them all except 992) and look forward to the evolution coming. New experiences, new fun.

Since when did value retention become a core tenant of a car enthusiast? Were you a porsche owner of the past? How about my 997RS that had an MSRP of 140+ and was worth mid ~70s 3 years later? People have short memories on cars and feel they are stable or appreciating assets.
