Performance sedan EVs do nothing for me.
An EV sedan is merely a utilitarian tool to get me from Point A to Point B and back to Point A.
If/when Porsche (or anyone else) makes the rumored EV 718 with proper magic dust from the GT department, feel free to text me.

I'm sure once everyone drives it, it will change there minds. Just the fact the GT decision is getting involved will mean much better overall driving experience. Will it be worth 250+ to me no. But I will grab one in 3-4 years for half off.

Three Wheelin'
Didn't find the need to get a Taycan Turbo or Turbo S for the HP/TQ. Of course, Porsche is going to do this because of the Plaid. They improved the 991 Turbo S when it had competition from the GTR and, they'll do the same thing with Tesla. This competition between manufacturers is all fine and good. But, do I really need a 2.3 ton EV that does sub 11 second quarter mile runs? To me, spending the money on a GTS and, making it comfy rather than buying the higher tier model was more important. And, if I can't justify a Turbo or Turbo S, why would I be looking at a Taycan Turbo GT?
I noticed for the GTS that normal and sport mode suspension gets floaty on curves with bumpy road at high speed and, that sport plus is needed to not feel that odd floating sensation when you go over a bump, in a curve at 80+ miles per hour. Now, what in the world is Porsche going to do to change that on a model that will be just as heavy only with more power? A true EV GT would be a smaller vehicle with lighter weight batteries. Whatever, the moment they called an EV a Turbo, it was all about branding. Taycan Turbo GT. What the hell is that supposed to be, a grand touring turbo?
I don't expect a Taycan GT3 anytime soon.
Dan (says a Taycan, not Taycan GTS Sport Tourismo when asked what he's daily driving - because, really?)

I'm same way. love the EV as an a to b tool, and really enjoy it. as a performance driver? no, I want something much smaller and lighter. I hope those first 718 deliver.

agree that the best hope porsche currently has in the works for a performance EV is a smaller lighter 718 EV. Taycan is a great a to b, but not something you drive on the weekends for fun after the first month.

No kill like overkill. 3 motor 1000hp ? Sure. Why the **** not.

I’ve been waiting to see what Porsche delivers with this car however the recent and massive price drop on the Plaid pushed me over the edge to order one. $90k for this level of straight line performance was just impossible to resist. The Porsche will certainly go around corners better but not worth 2-3 times the price to me.

my daily is a M3P, my fun weekend/long trip/track car is a 991.2 GT3.
The M3P is a solid DD, but I don’t long to take it out on the weekend like I do with my GT3.
