Seems like the ‘Track package’ for the S is no longer available?

Wait until solid state batteries are production ready, and then the energy density will be at a more reasonable level for sports cars. For now, even smaller EV are still heavier than expected simply because such large battery packs are needed due to low energy density. Maybe in 10 or so years we’ll see lower weight.

A bicycle or metro pass would suffice too, but we’re talking about Taycans here.

The M3P is a solid DD, but I don’t long to take it out on the weekend like I do with my GT3.
Not even sure you should bother talking to this troll. He never contributes anything to discussions on this board other than playing the contrarian and posting things to rile people up. One of the most worthless members on this technical forum.

I have been on RL for 10 years, have purchased 8 new Porsches, have tracked for years including a new GT3 on the Ring via ED, and have made over 4,000 posts, and I'm the OP for the thread you choose to comment on.

You don't have my experience, so don't just assume you know anything about me, as I certainly know more about cars than you, buddy.

This is a free internet forum to discuss topics freely. I understand that many people don't believe in free speech in the republic of Kalifornia.

So very sorry if you got butt hurt at some point if I pointed out a flaw in one of your cars that you overlooked due to your ignorance.......

Dude, I am not talking about you, I’m talking about the guy you were replying to. Sorry I didn’t make that clear. Sorry you felt the need to act the way you did in response to something not intended for you.

Salient statement: Charging network is also important.

Maybe in Kalifornia charging network is not a factor. However for the rest of the 3/4 of America (and rest of the world) charging network is a factor

europe is really good - flogging an Ev last summer and this past summer charging is no issue, china is also really good

so i think it’s hard to make the case charging is an issue for the rest of the world

all so in north america supercharging network is excellent

so really it just sucks for CCS1 north american vehicles

According to our most recent Porsche training with the new Cayenne, they mentioned the #1 buying incentive for an electric car is apparently performance.
So although many people, including myself, see EVs as nothing more than a good daily, apparently research shows otherwise.

I just miss diesels as the king of dailys... lol

While the GT looks comically stupid with that slap on wing and ground effects, the recent Ring videos of test mules indicate that it’s crazy quick and corners really well. Does anyone need a goofy looking $300,000, 1,000hp EV? No, but I bet they sell every one of them.
