First 900 Mile EV Trip.
Vehicle: 2022 Audi E-tron GT Prestige
Starting In Louisville,Ky with stops:
Akron, Ohio
Detroit, Mi
Back to Louisville
We just purchased a 2022 Audi E-tron GT but it's on the same platform as the Taycan so I thought I'd share. We started out in Louisville on a full charge. Planning our first stop in Columbus (EVGO station). This was about 207 miles. I was pleasantly surprised when we still had 70 miles left on the battery. Charged up in about 45 mins. We then traveled to Mansfield (electrify America station) Charged up to about 90% in about 30 mins. and made it to Akron about an hour away. After visiting in Akron took the Turnpike a few miles short of Toledo where there was an Electrify America station. This is where I was the most nervous because we ran the car to about 12 percent, but all the chargers were working and we were able to charge up to about 85 percent in 35 minutes.
After making it to Detroit we still had enough charge to visit and drive around. Stayed at a Deaborn hotel so when we made are way back to Louisville our first stop was Ypsilanti, Michigan. Filled up to about 90 percent at EA and headed outside of Dayton for one last charge at EA charger. 166 miles later made it back to Louisville with 60 miles left. I will note on the last leg I did drive quite a bit over the speed limit. The whole trip I think there was one station where one of the chargers was not working. No stop was over 50 mins. I realize not all trips are going to be perfect in an EV but this one was close to it. I even think an ICE vehicle drive time might of been only an hour faster on the combined trip. Planning what chargers you plan on stopping at is key and reviews from people who have used then recently. Hope this helps with some on the fence on planning a long trip.

Thanks for sharing. What (service/app/etc) did you use to help plan where to stop?

None are perfect but Plug Share, Electrify America App, and EVgo app. Sometimes one app would not show where a charger was so I just switched between them till I found what I wanted and made sure its a fast charger.

It would be interesting to know the actual cost starting from the first charge and then accumulated.
