I installed three days ago with only one issue. The PCM would not boot up the day after the install. It booted the day that the install was completed. I simply rebooted the PCM with the two finger method and all has been fine for the last two days.
Ok, I’m in Europe right now but i drove car for probably 2-3 hours over last weekend and checked ‘updates’ a few times (I watched the video and all requirements for getting OTA updates are enabled/met) and nothing popped up. When I get back this weekend we’ll see if there is something there…
I just received the OTA update last night. Took about 8 minutes to install (I left the car and lock it - you can see the status on the dash). It's just an update for the battery (better battery life management).
I guess they don't send the update to all Taycans at once, seems to be few at the time. Not sure what dictates who receives it and when.
Received the latest charging update on the 17th, To get it to work for me I had to put my phone in airplane mode or not have it in connection range. If the phone is connected you get active function and it won't update. Press the power button to the shutdown mode. Within the Goodbye message you will see install update at the bottom. This for a US CT.

thanks for the advice. Unfortunately didn’t work for me.
Mine did the update yesterday. The PCM would not turn on after I got in the car after the install with the spinning circle but it turned back on after I drove the car later that day so all good for now (2023 GTS).

im having a similar issue in that the main PCM screen freezes on the “Porsche” logo type animation. How do I do the “two finger method” to bump it out of this state?

I am assuming you have a US car based on your avatar. Take two fingers (index and middle) and place them at the top right corner of the main PCM screen. Stay to the right of the icons there or they will engage. Keep them there until the PCM reboots to the engineering mode. Once there, select the bottom line to return to the normal mode. Note: You may have to place your fingers around the top right on several attempts as its a bit finicky. Also, give it at least 10 seconds before you try a different spot if it does not work.
1st attempt failed because I got out of the car after starting the update.
2nd attempt failed because it said it would start after charging and preconditioning was disabled, it wouldn't let me do it from the car while updating, so had to get out of the car to find my phone to disable timer.
3rd attempt failed because it was plugged in?
4th attempt unplugged, it told me to get out of the car and lock it, when I came back later it was completed, great success!
