With all the California rain hitting the ground I thought it prudent to build a winter setup.
Never had an AWD vehicle that wasn’t a truck, and never really used all season tires. Michelin Pilot 4S have always been my year around tire given the lighter California winters of late.
Decided on a set of Michelin all seasons to go with the winter wheels. 285/315 tires wrapped around 20x10/20x12 wheels. Now CHALKLT just up the road. Never been in a car this confidence inspiring the in the rain.
Larger footprint, weight, and a wider wheel base work wonders. Now I am actually looking forward to the rain lasting a while.
Winter tires and full send - you havent lived until you driven on snow with something properly fun and low grip
THIS, exactly.
Good, proper winter tires and PPF on the car and you are good to go
We get this often up here, this is why we are such good drivers! ;-P Northern Europe folks are not bad either, for the same reason.
The Taycan is actually quite fun to drive in the snow. Gotta be careful if you pickup too much speed as it is quite a pig to stop though!

Sorry for the tread hijack
The only time that I've driven in the snow was in college in my lifted Toyota 4x4 to go snowboarding in the local SoCal mountains. I'd be a little nervous driving in so much snow with a $100k+ heavy car. haha
