Default Ea rant

The last 2 weeks I’ve had to rely on more dc fast charging than normal. I live in SoCal. There are ea chargers all over the place.

I visited 6 fast chargers:
One site had 3 of 8 working and the 3 working would only do 50kwh
One site was totally offline
One site had the 7kwh only on line
Another site worked but max 70kwh or so
Another visit 2 days later to 3 of 8 site and more were working , all 350 offline, max 50kwh
One site (small one in seal beach ca) the 150 gave me 150 all the way to 80%

So, of 6 charging experiences, 1 was as expected, 3 charged at less than 50% promised charge rate (btw in all cases arrived at 20% state of charge with a conditioned battery), and 2 sites basically offline.

What the hell is going on with EA. In all seriousness the first 6mo of ownership ea was generally reliable. Now it’s a **** show. And yes i have home charging….

Welcome to EA! This unreliability is nothing new. EA (child of VW) was given money from the dieselgate settlement to build the charger network. Build, not maintain.

Good to post complaints here. Better if you complain directly to EA. Or your Senator

Tell me that those EA chargers aren't in Irvine or Foothill Ranch...
