Default Order options and Delays

HI All,
About to place order for a 4S CT, and looking for advice about what options will definitely lead to longer build times.

Paint to Sample? What kind of delays does this add?

Also seems like Burmester is causing delays and definitely not something I need to have.

Any thing else to definitely avoid?

Thanks for your input,
Will

My dealer told me it would add at least six months to do PTS for my GTS ST. Burmester did not seem to make a difference.

That seems an unreasonable amount of time to shake up a couple of cans of paint...

It’s a little more complicated than that.
My PTS ‘17 Targa was ordered in early October and delivered in late July the following year. We cancelled PECATL delivery as that would have added another 2 months at the time. Pre COVID, obviously.

I know and I'm sure there's a logical reason why it takes so long. But...it seems a special order that makes them more money should maybe be prioritized?

PTS, even if your dealer can get you a slot, will push you back at least 6 months in addition to what a normal delivery time would be without PTS.

it’s adding 3-6 months of post production delay due to a chip shortage in the amp. I hit CP8 in April and my car is still at Emden port because of it. I was never told of the delay despite it being known by Porsche

Yikes. My GTS ST build is also PTS and Burmester. I put in deposit in April and have a long wait still to go but this PTS news aint good either.

I'm surprised your dealer did not mention this to you.
