I think the allocation is for a sept build, dec delivery. My dealer is saying allocations for 2023 have dropped by quite a bit.

Have any of you purchased a Taycan under your business and written it all off? My accountant is saying this can be done as its over 6,000 gvwr.

Obviously the 4s seems to be a lot faster. However is the 20k delta worth it, considering I live in Los Angeles with so much traffic? I’ve built both and it’s 112 vs 132k. Keep in mind I have a 992 gt3 for “fun/fast” driving. My current Tesla Model Y long range and a base Taycan seem to be very similar in performance. Also what’s everyone’s take on full leather interior at a 4-5k premium. Is standard leather good enough? On my gt3 I got it and love it however even a base Taycan is getting pricey with options.

I most likely plan to purchase the car as the lease payments are ridiculous on it so I want to make the right decision. Thank you!
Taycan Base is RWD (single motor). 4S is All-Wheel Drive (dual motor.) Maximum Horsepower Base: 321 4S 429
Base about $20k less than 4S. Both can have the Performance plus battery.

As with all Porsche cars, the list of options is extensive (and occasionally silly, like heated steering wheel. In a $100k vehicle, one would assume the heated steering wheel, just like a radio.)

Options can get very pricey, very quickly.

I never heard of this...but after reading your post I read up. Apparently:

"The 6,000-pound vehicle tax deduction is a rule under the federal tax code that allows people to deduct up to $25,000 of a vehicle's purchasing price on their tax return. The vehicle purchased must weigh over 6,000 pounds, according to the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), but no more than 14,000 pounds. The truck or SUV must be used for business purposes in order to qualify. The idea behind the tax credit is that it will encourage business owners to invest in new vehicles to support their company's growth.

Details on the tax deduction are included in Section 179 of the federal tax code. The terms state that the vehicle has to be put into service by December 31 of the tax year in order to qualify for the deduction. To prove this, you may need to keep a record of the trips you take with the vehicle, including the purpose of the trip, so you can prove that it was work-related."

Hm interesting, it says SUV/Truck. Any accountants here to clarify?

They do, just on new configurator its moved under E-Mobility instead of under the Performance tab.

As everyone has said they do have it on both. I didn’t go for it though.

really having a hard time deciding between red or black full leather. I feel like black is too regular. Don’t want anything light as my little monsters will destroy the interior haha. Also on the edge with ACC. Almost every car I’ve owned has had it and it’s truly garbage. The Tesla’s is amazing and I know it’s no where near that.

My Delivery date is showing 11/11! Which is great.

The only thing I don’t like about red is the way the rear seat looks with the 2+1 configuration. The black stripe between the red outer seats just looks weird to me.

Porsche ACC is good, but Innodrive apparently is not.

RONGLOS, I would not worry about the flames from the wannabe Ferdinand Porsches. You posted what you thought was correct. No harm in that.

Yea, not their fault the configurator was changed and the option moved to somewhere it doesn’t make as much sense. Hell, I thought they had removed the option, and I’m pretty good at flipping through the configurator. I just figured they had limited performance battery packs and they were reserving those for the Turbo/GTS trims that come with it standard. Nice to know the option is still there, so thanks everyone for so politely explaining for the rest of us dummies.
