Taycan quirks and solutions
#31
- My homelink popup also doesn't show up all the time when backing out of the garage, or when the camera is activated. 2022 GTS. Solution: use shortcut button to activate homelink
- Music source doesn't stay where it was on startup. I prefer it stays as USB but it goes to carplay and sometimes radio on startup. No solution
- Why can't Normal driving mode have regen enabled (saved), but sport and sport plus have it enabled by default and saved as such.

make sure that you are provided a loaner, I've had these updates take more than a day or two.

My dealer picks up and returns my car (about 30 miles each way) and leaves me a loaner, usually a Macan. My car comes back washed and charged. Scheduling is easy and quick. So pretty painless, at least while I’m under warranty and until the dealer changes ownership. Is this type of service normal or unusual? That said, I had a Tesla S briefly before the Taycan and the over-the-air updates were pretty slick and worked well.

Pick up and drop off service is unusual.
I have to wait 3 weeks for my appointment if I want a loaner.
They are happy to get you in an Uber

My dealer performed 4 updates all in the same day. CAM AMC1, WMF8, WMG1 and WNA5, I had to bring it in on a certain day of the week as their Taycan tech is retiring and only part time now. They provided a Maycan loaner.

My GTS is all black inside. My dash is reflecting to the windshield as well, like right in front of my face along with the HUD, so I am not sure if the interior color makes much difference.

The reflection is coming from sunlight through the windshield. If I only drive at night, or only in a western direction in the morning and eastern in the afternoon, it is not a problem
