I am set up with the Porsche Track Your Dream functionality on MyPorsche and my car goes into production this week.
Does anyone know if they also take a photo on the Taycan production line, or is that just for 911s?

I believe that is just for 911's. My Taycan 4S is on its way to Emden, today, and I never saw a photo of the car in TYD.
I never got any photos. Our Taycan was finished 3 weeks ago and is still sitting in Emden. The arrival date at my dealer keeps slipping and slipping etc. Very annoying.
Did anyone's freeze date just change?
Mine just went from 2/8 to 2/24. Everything else stayed the same.
Wonder if they are re-prioritizing due to the ship fire but doubt they could react so quickly.
Good news bad news. Our Taycan has been sitting in Emden for 4 weeks. Even though Porsche says the car is built my SA thinks the car is missing parts or waiting for software updates or both. I guess it's better to take care of the issues before delivery to the customer.
I have not seen any pictures of my Taycan yet. My delivery date is now delayed by 2 weeks.
Production started last week.
Anyone else experiencing delays?
Yep, my Taycan was pushed back by 2 weeks according to Track Your Dream. It was due to go into production last Friday.
I believe it's to accommodate the lost vehicles from the ship fire.
Here is a message that I posted today on the 992 TT/TTS forum where there is a thread about the difficulty finding production pictures. I thought it might be useful on our Taycan forum as well.
This might be totally obvious to everyone on Rennlist, but it wasn’t to me when my 992 TTS was built in April 2021 because I never saw any production pics. I did find them for the Taycan that is sitting in Emden awaiting shipment to the U.S.
On the left side of TYD home page on “My Porsche”, if your car has been built, click on the box “Discover Current Phase”. Mine is still “live” but I don’t know how long my pics are available for downloading. Scroll through the photos shown under “Your vehicle has been produced”. In my case, there were five - two were stock photos (paint shop and assembly) but the other three were a black Taycan like the GTS we have on order. Also, when mousing over those three photos (or tapping when on an iPad) there is a prompt to “Download high-resolution photo of your vehicle”. The dates on these photos all correspond to the production dates shown on TYD, and under “Info” on the photo (iPad) there is information about the camera type, lens settings, time of day, etc. So these three photos appear to be the real deal. The shots are quite different from what I’ve seen on the TTS and other Porsche forums.
And, yes, after the Taycan is delivered, I am definitely keeping the 911 TTS. It is amazing!
BTW, after doing the “dance” described by @mjf6175 in Post #9 (12/22/2022) in the “Porsche Charge-O-Mat Pro Battery Maintainer Resetting” thread on this TT/TTS forum, I was able to successfully charge (3 days now) our 911 Turbo S using the footwell receptacle as I had in the past with my Charge-O-Mat Pro, which has the LiO setting. So, if you have the newer Porsche-branded LiO Charge-O-Mat, don’t send it to the dumpster yet. After I drive the car again, I’ll report on the charger thread if I was able to again charge successfully as others have.

Car is at Emden Port - Two More Production Pics Showed Up Today!
This is related to a Taycan GTS that we have on order and that has been sitting in Emden since late December (original "on vessel" date has been pushed out two weeks until 02/03/2023). Within a few days after production, I found three production photos of my car. The other two photos under "Discover Current Phase" and "Your car has been produced" were stock photos of the car in the "Paint Shop" and "E-Drives and Component Manufacturing". Today I found photos of our car in these other two areas. The previous stock photos did not have a caption when mousing over re: "Download High-Resolution Picture of Your Vehicle" and they were the wrong color. The actual photos have dates, camera types, etc. that make sense.
It's worth checking back from time to time if you have not seen any or all five of the production photos of your car on TYD.
