Default Charging Taycan and Tesla on same plug

Hello. I have one 220v plug that I presently charge Tesla with. Getting Taycan. Has anybody used the Nema Splitter? I have attached a picture. Probably just have another 220v plug installed. Thoughts?

I don't think a splitter will work as you may end up drawing ~100A if both cars are charging.

I currently am using a Tesla Tap UMC-J1772 adaptor from UMC-J1772. I got the mini-tap in case I need to travel with it and the hotel has Tesla destination charger. It is compact and quite convenient as I never quite need to charge both the Tesla and the Taycan at the same time.

If you really need to have both cars charging at the same time, you may need a second NEMA14-50 and need to make sure your main panel can support the load.

or you can get a “split load” charger that will allow two EV’s to share a single NEMA 14-50 plug

there are mulitple options but this one is probably the best/simplest choice…

converting a NEMA 14-50 plug to a 6-50 is trival or you can simply purchase a 14-50 to 6-50 adapter - this will let one car charge at “full” rate - or if two are plugged in then it will split the load so each car gets 1/2 the load.

They make one that will fit his existing 14-50 too, just slightly slower.
