would you like the VW/Porsche/audi part numbers for those exact outlets?
NEMA 14-30 supply cable part number: 7PP-971-678-AB
NEMA 6-30 supply cable part number: 7PP-971-678-T
and since it’s been brought up:
NEMA 6-40 supply cable part number: 7PP-971-678-AA
porsche charges $150-$250 each for these suckers - personally it’s cheaper to just buy a whole separate EVSE with a wider range of adapters (including some direct NEMA 5-20 and 6-20 adapters) from other EVSE vendors.

you don’t need the 14-50 neutral for an EVSE (any EVSE)
$25 - once again from Amazon

would this be the one to get?
https://www.evseadapters.com/product...4-50r-adapter/
I assume that then I would dial down the PMCC and would get 10-12 miles per hour

thanks to both of you for the help, like I said I will get an electrician in to advise me on the job. if the costs are too high to rewire I will probably just buy the EVSE for that level of charging

update
I had my electrician look at the current set up and he said it is an easy job to upgrade to 6 gauge wire and a 14-50 outlet, easy but very costly! at least $2500+ because it will require an completely new run of wire.
since it is a condo, who are not unfriendly to EVs. but still have their rules that require the install to be permitted and inspected by their electrician which will add more $ to that number.
so for now I will try to live with slower charging speeds offered by this unit

thanks for alerting me to this unit

thanks for the update - it’s nice to hear a follow up - could be cheaper with another electrician - but you’ll do ok with the current unit.

We're doing remodel / rebuild work and getting a sub panel pulled to my garage from the main panel at the front of the house was not trivial. Wire alone was over 1000 (about 125ft pull), plus conduit, and very complex routing due to the layout of the property (meter is in front, up 3 stories of hill, garage is off back sub terrarian). Labor plus parts was about $3k for the sub panel and then a conduit run to front of garage for EVSE. + $600 for EVSE. Glad there is a tax credit on this right now!
