Allocations and Deliveries?

Generally if they have a fixed date (V250) then they have a production start date (V260) and finish date (V300). I think my past GT3's went into production roughly 2 weeks after the fixed date but they may have a longer delay between the two for a new car like the Taycan. Ask your dealer to send you the build tracking sheet.

Build #6 out of 8 from the first allocations for my dealership. Signed up when first possible in 2018. Updated news from the dealer, now with the build sheet for a 4S, a February build. Delivery date TBD, likely June.

There is some possibility of dates moving up, but I'm OK with this schedule. Demo cars at the dealer were pushed back by about 20 days to mid-December. Reveal is scheduled then and I'll get to drive one of the demo cars. Cannot wait!!!

Toby, thanks for the info, got the same info. But I have waited this long, so I am ok, i really wanted the mission e wheels, who knows might be an option. Porsche loves options and so do I. From a previous post, did you verify wheels could be ordered in black even though the renders do not show it? Thks I want to test drive so bad.

My issue with the Mission e wheel is two-fold - I don't really want the PSCB brakes and the total overall cost ($8,170!). So I went with the Aero Turbo wheel instead.
Dealer told me today that their reveal will take place mid-December and I will get some sort of exclusive invitation.

Just wondering two things, the Taycan Design Exclusive Wheels seem to be able to be ordered without the expensive brake change to the coated type, any reason we can't order Mission E without the coating? Also, did you order Black/Limestone Beige interior and if so, were you able to see it live before you locked into the build option? It looks very greenish on most computers. Thoughts?
Thanks.....I hope to have my build lock very soon with my dealer.

When I tried to select the Mission e wheel, I received the warning that PSCB brakes were required, regardless of paint/treatment. For the interior, I wanted the lighter colored interior as it's pretty hot here in the summertime. I'm hopeful that it's more cream-colored, but we'll see!

Toby, thanks for posting your build schedule. That's the first one I've seen for the Taycan. It's not overly surprising that there are 5 weeks between fixed and build but it is curious that there are 5 weeks for production. I know they shut down for a bit over xmas but that looks excessive. On a 911 it would normally be roughly 2 weeks after lock for production and 1 week in production. It looks like they are holding it for another 5 weeks for delivery hoping to get certification by then I suppose.

I see that US allocations have started to drop. My dealer confirms that they have a 4S and Turbo allocation but no Turbo S yet...
Anyone have any info on if/when the Turbo S allocations will be issued to dealers?

Literally dealers were combing their deposit lists to see who wants to take. Turbo S first and move up the list. Then they do the same thing with Turbo. And now that the 4S can be had, they are going over the list to find the 4S buyers.

If you know of ANY TurboS allocations in the US, please document it/them here!

I don't believe that is correct. To the best of my knowledge (and according to my dealer), no TurboS allocations have yet been issued (at least in the US). I have had my "demand" order in since Sept 11 and both my dealer and I have been waiting for their first TurboS allocation.

I agree that the Turbo S allocations are lagging. I'm dealing directly with the manager of one of the largest Porsche dealers in my area and they just received allocations a few days ago but did not receive any allocations for a Turbo S.
