To be fair, if you put the Model 3 on a sport suspension it lowers to that height. The reason for the high greenhouse is to create a laminar flow over the roof, one of Tesla’s aero tricks to extract 320 mile range from a 75 kW battery.

The new 911 is 178in
New Panamera is 198in
Tesla Model 3 is 185in
BMW 3 series is 185in
BMW 5 series is 195in
Based on the picture the Taycan is about 2/3 closer to the Panamera than the 911 which would make it about 191in. Half a foot longer than the Model 3. Closer to 5 series size. So clearly they could have made it more compact.
It's not small.
Edit:
Based on the Autocar article it's 189.5in. Also 2in wider than the Panamera. Which is cool.
"The Taycan is around 4850mm in length and 1990m in width, making it 199mm shorter but 53mm wider than the Panamera. By comparison, the Model S is 4975mm long and 1965mm wide."
