Previously they were always clearly showing the Mission E concept, now they're showing the Taycan looking pretty close to the concept car shape, just with mirrors. Why go to such lengths if the final car looks completely different? Would be pretty terrible marketing.

FWIW - Porsche has never let me down with the design and construction of a car. I've loved my first 911, my 914's a lowly 924, a bunch of other 911's, Cayennes and even the mis-understood 928 GT's that I really like!
As we all know, there is a great distance and struggle between dreams and reality. Porsche has always dreamed big and executed well.

As far as the name goes for me, I don't care that much. Actually like it. I'm sure people were scratching their heads when they announced the Macan. It will definitely be deleted however.🤫
I was part of a focus group for the car...three hours of questions, but no mention of the name. Certainly would have voiced my negative opinion had I been asked for it.
I never get invited to any focus groups so I don't get to see the pre-release cars. Maybe I should stop checking the box next to Marketing Professional on those forms.
