I would have preferred numerals but a Turkish sounding name meaning "lively horse" is alright too, I guess. Better than something along the lines of I-Pace, iPanamera or whatever. Not the worst name they could have picked.

I think...
Rennlist better change the name of this forum!
928 is still a better moniker.
In the south it will be "Tayy can" which sounds a lot better than "tai cahn" anyway.
A heat gun works well on badges and stickers.
A Porsche prancing horse? Does Ferrari know about this?
When do I get to drive it?

Sounded a bit odd at first but then I started getting used to it. It'll be great--certainly very thoughtful.

If anyone here was lucky enough to own a Datsun 240z as one of your first sports cars (as it was mine), you should know how the Datsun name came to be.
Turns out the ever efficient Japanese engineering team finished the prototype three weeks early, and Corporate hadn’t had time to come up with a name. The CEO was understandably embarrassed and PO’d, and demanded the Chief Advertiser have a name by the end of the week, or he would be fired.
Astonished, he replied ‘Dat soon’? And thus the legend began.
Brilliant car by the way.

People made fun of "Boxster", "Cayman", "Cayenne", "Panamera" and "Macan" too. People will get used to the name.
