Used P90D is my vote. Someone else already took the huge depreciation hit and you can get a real nice, low mileage one. I think the name Taycan is stupid so I would have gotten it back just for that alone. I also think for full electric the Tesla charging system is the best. No one will be close to theirs for so many years so really renders the car a around town C&C type vehicle whereas you can take trips with the Tesla.

I am - need a car w/Car pool sticker in early 2019 - seems to be a Q5 w/EV drivetrain - should be a decent car to slog around in - and I have my Model X if I need to travel distance w/superchargers....

I'm trying to limit my exposure to Tesla - I already own two - but would swap one - I don't want two EV's subject to Elon's execution excellence…or accelerated depreciation - but honestly I keep coming back to the Model 3 is really the only choice...{sigh}

How about the I-Pace? They look great in person and the interior seems to be a leg up on Tesla.

I now have an EV for in town driving (awesome 500e!) so I need a "commuter" to my farm - 250 miles one way, over one 3000' vertical pass. In between my house and the farm are two well placed Tesla supercharging stations and exactly zero alternative charging stations for other EVs. Must have AWD, cargo space, autopilot, and be under $80k. The only compromise with the M3P is the loss of the rear hatch. If I had unlimited cash I'd buy a loaded Model X no question despite the goofy doors. Then I could get rid of my truck too.
BTW, anyone want to buy a 1969 Ford Cobra with a 427 side oiler under the hood?

What a friggin joke! Wired magazine is currently running a “comparison” between new EVs in a “suddenly crowded marketplace” - except there are none (but Tesla, Bolt, Leaf) available, and details are thin from the major OEMs. Tesla got unending sh*t for taking deposits on cars that don’t exist but the press seems to think it’s AOK for Audi et al.
Like I told the Porsche dealer - call me when you have a car on the lot...
I am looking forward to having lots of choices but we ain’t even close yet.
