I blame myself, not the car.
It's not for everyone and many will prefer the more modern Spyder which takes everything up a notch. Did you get it out on some twisty roads or was it just around town? I can't say I'm a fan of the Spyder on the highway.

Just 10 minutes around town. I really wanted to love it. Black, silver stripes, neglectful owner. Dead leaves everywhere. Still might buy it. Really nice guy.

Sport/race headers, IPD plenum, GT3 throttle body and a flash will deliver the dramatics you're looking for!

What are the specs on the car - 6 speed? PSE?

To the OP - I agree with just about everything stated above... Its not a car that I enjoy on the freeway & I would definitely always take another car if there's even a suspicion of rain.

If the car you're considering has PDK with the sport chrono option and PSE - it's a wonderful combination and very satisfying in sport plus mode.

Buy it - try it - sell it if it doesn't fit the requirement. I'm quite sure you won't loose much money other than tax & registration.

They make all that for the previous gen spyder? It was 6 speed.

If your caught in a downpour, just put the side windows up as the water will not come through the back.
And oh how well I know your second one from the time it was ordered by a close friend it was seen a lot next to my blue one . Glad the speed yellow went to a good home.

Please thank him for the perfect build - full black leather including doors and dash, sport buckets, painted roll hoop, short shifter, A/C, silver spyder wheels, radio delete. Oh, and with the clear bra the spyder has held up great with 26k miles including track time

Lmao my sentiments exactly! We have a 2011 as a shop car, and it is what sparked my Porsche purchase. Phenomenal car.

I think the one improvement that could help is a bit more music from the exhaust. I wish PSE were slightly louder. Porsche listened to this feedback and the new Spyder makes a glorious sound.

The exhaust note from factory can defintiely use a little work, and there is some great performance potential there are well as the intake and software side of the car as well. I have a Cayman R (essentially the same car with a roof) and personally gained 27whp with just our Race Headers and our Protune, and the sound is just glorious with no drone through my factory PSE. Here is a video for reference (autoblip enabled lol) as well as my dynograph. Have some more videos with different mic locations on my youtube channel for reference.

Shoot me a PM or give me a ring if you guys are interested in anything
