Default Springtime for Spyder (987.2)

Springtime for Spyder (to be sung to the tune by Mel Brooks).

Just down from the street from us is a colorful stand of flowering shrubbery (SC in Spring is great!). I couldn't resist using that backdrop for some quick photos of the 2011 Spyder that I purchased last month from fellow Rennlister turboman36 (that Spyder was in fabulously original condition with only 9,000 miles).

Great pic! I love the old school BP decal on the quarter. Enjoy it in good health.

You have a great photographic eye. The car looks great (but I'm biased). Lets hope this inspires more Gen 1 Spyder pics and welcome to our tight knit family.

Sweet ride Bassie. I love the white more every day but a part of me wishes I had found a silver in AZ. Both colors show off the lines of the car really well.

Weather was nice last weekend. Drove down to Phoenix , then took the long way back State hwy 74 to 93 to 89 back to Prescott. I STRONGLY encourage you guys to get your spyder on this route. Once you get out of the desert North of Wickenberg the road starts to get amazing. You will see all the very wide variety of terrain and road Arizona has to offer including a couple of amazing switchback mountain climbs. One of several great Spyder driving routes in this state. You'll thank me later.

But it's been raining/ snowing up here since. So I had to clean and wax the car as a reward for all that hard work. (and replaced the stripped screw holding the license plate)

I took the road from Wickenburg to Prescott on my Harley last weekend. When we got to Prescott, about the only thing my wife said besides ordering a large glass of tequila was "thank gawd we weren't in the Spyder! I'd have never gotten you to go home again"

It's a great drive!
