Yes. Was not trying to be misleading, thought it was understood that the 550 was a replica. It's a Beck, albeit one with history. This one, my brother's, was used as a stand-in in the Discovery channel episode on Ralph Lauren's collection as his was not available. Fun car to drive, you feel more exposed than in a motorcycle while driving it.

I think we took the wrong side of Mulholland starting over by Hollywood.. very residential.. but still fun at very moderate speeds trying to keep three car convoy together. I know there are better roads around here, leaving the spyder in LA until mid-Jan when I'm doing an episode with mAtt Farah with both the 981 spyder & the 550.. will hit angel's crest that day, should be fun (wondering how he'll fit? .. that's a big boy!)

Love the UK pix! Fond memories of a drive thru Wales, the Lake Country, and southern Scotland many years ago, unfortunately in a rental Ford Fiesta...

I will be curious to watch Matt's review of the Spyder. I debate about reaching out to him to lend him mine but I don't think he'll fit in the 987.2 very comfortably so I haven't done so.

Where it should be! I can't wait to get mine on the track in the first half of next year.

On a side note, did you make or buy your mesh grill inserts? I've been looking but haven't found any to fit the Spyder.

This pic was made during the 2015 rotterdam targa passagio run. Recipe for a fun night out: 120 porsches and a route going through as many tunnels as possible...

Bassie - I'm in AMS, would enjoy connecting for any driving events. Saw the PCH rally coming up, are you doing that one?
