Back in late '04 I bought a GT2. One owner car, it had 92 miles on it.
It was part of a 25 car collection. It's low but not out of the question.
Naples inventory is usually pretty nice. Been there many times over the years.

 

I disagree with mileage raising red flags but low miles doesn't mean you shouldn't do your homework. Not too long ago I saw a silver 928 sold by a dealer to another dealer. The 928 had 12,000 miles and was one of a handful of 928's built that year (1995). The Initial dealer told me that the car had bodywork and repaint at some point and they verified it with paint meter. The dealer that received it sold it for more than double and didn't disclose the bodywork to the buyer. Buyer didn't question it since the seller was trusted in the 928 community. But I have seen plenty of other low mileage cars that are perfect.

I agree with MB that low mileage does not mean you do not have any due diligence to perform. I grew up knowing guys who have collections of more than thirty cars and they told me again and again that allowing a car to sit unused for long periods is awful for it too. However, NY uses this new road salt that is so caustic its rusting out my 14 month old snapper snowblower already, so there is no way I would want any toy car near it, as such the Spyder sits longer every year than its used. Its better than allowing any body damage to occur, once it's seen even one salt bath its over Johnny.

Plavan, I was not referring to your post being off topic. I posted something quotting you and later decided I was off topic. Tried to go in and delete my own post. Could not figure out how to delete, only edit. So I erased my original text and then asked for help on how to delete..

Haha- Its all good- Just playing around because it was Friday. The 818R is awesome. We just moved to a new house, so I'm organizing the garages so I can finish it up. Whats funny- Alot of the lines are similar to the Spyder.

This is how it sits now in "My" Garage (per wife). Wheels just came in.


I'm getting ready to take over the "Wifes" garage. Exactly like she took over my closet at the old house- nothing in there.....yet.... haha

When you are building the 818R, you are pretty much on your own. The so called manual is horrible, so you are building alot on instinct. Other guys on the forum can give you ideas if you get stuck. Some of the parts for the 818R FFR does not even supply, or the or are just plain wrong- You end up fabricating parts yourself. I really think FFR released it too early. Overall I'm happy, but there is alot of issues that FFR needs to address. Nothing I cant overcome, but for a novice builder it might be too much.
I'm sure I will forget about all those inconveniences once I push the start button.
