Default Low Dust Pads - Boxster Spyder

My search here wasn't conclusive - so does anyone have a good recommendation for a low dust, primarily street driven
Boxster Spyder?

TIA,
Pete

Carbotech Bobcat 1521
Put them on my (old) 2007 GT3 and cut dust by ~70%

On a scale of 1 to 10 , with stock at 10 (lots of dust) and my current RS PCCB (avatar) at a 1 (low dust), I would give the CT Bobcats a 3. Huge reduction.

No affiliation,etc

Any change in braking performance and do the pads need to be warmed up to work well? Any noise issues?

Get Mintex Reds. Great friction cold, quiet, no dust, cheap and last long. Definitely one of the best pure street pads. Only negative, is very poor performance when tracked. Get a set of Porsche Sport Pads or better race pads (PF01s, RS19s, RS29s, etc.) and swap out if you go out to the track. I got sick of the dust with the OEM street pads and switched to these as street pads when I had my Carrera. The current owner of the car also agrees, finally needing to replace those street pads after 4 years and just bought another set of Reds to go all the way around last week. He currently swaps out to Porsche sport pads for the track.

Thanks for the feedback!

Anyone have experience with EBC Reds? I was reading about them today and they sounded like a possible candidate.

Agree with everything you said except your opinion about track performance. The Mintex work pretty well on the track, much better than the very expensive Brembos, which left deposits onthe rotors that led to chatter.

No diff to me on street driven car (did not track it so dont know). Very quiet and no warm up issues. Seemed to be more linear/progressive vs. "on-off" of the stock pads

Hawk Dustless on all my cars, including the Cayenne. Stops any squeaking too.

I would rather stand in dog poo and tread it round the house than put EBC pads on the Spyder.

You don't drive fast enough. I can melt the backing plates off a set in 1 session if I push them. Not pushing them, I melted 2 pad sensors in just 10 mins at the track. Like all quiet street pads, they are not made for serious track driving.

There's no such thing as a brake pad that is good at everything. Pick the one that suits your needs.
