Have you looked at this car? It has the transmission, the seats, A/C, and the headlights you want.

Thank you, bud, for your willingness to help.

But it's wrong color for me.

I completely agree. And your Spyder looks awesome. I love the basalt black on my S as well.

For some reason I got this idea that I want a white Spyder even though I've never owned a white car before... probably something to do with the fact that the original debut (drool) was in Carrara White.

Afshin, thank you again for your help. I just want to let you know that you're appreciated.

Patience. The car you want will show up. It took me 9 months to find a white 997.1 RS with acceptable options, but I'm glad I waited.

I wouldn't worry about the mileage. Odds are any factory glitches have been dealt with on a car driven that much.

I'm with you on the Bi-Xenons; I wouldn't buy a car (that I drive at night) without them, but then I don't have Joe's youthful eyes, anymore.

Lol, Steve. I'm telling you, though, the high beams on these halogens light up everything like crazy. I'd have to compare to another Porsche, though. I'm comparing to the xenons on a Mitsubishi and an Infiniti.

The lights won't look as 'cool' at night, but the illumination of the halogen lights are sufficient, IMO. Beside, the halogens are lighter.
I would not mess with the lights. Whatever the car has is what u got.

As far as the new xenons in the Spyder with the Dynamic Cornering, I have to say they are the best headlights I've ever had. The DC function is the same as in the new 991, and it really works well. Much better than the cornering lights in my Cayenne.

Oh THAT'S IT... Bi-xenons just became a must-have.

Thanks!

My car's back at Alex's... maybe you could convince him to go out with you in it some night?

What are you having him do to it now?

So far...
  • RSS LCAs front and rear (w/good alignment)
  • brake ducts front and rear
  • DME software update (and tried to kill drive-off assist)
  • Voltphreaks battery (w/remote switch)
I also had an issue with the front toe links that Alex took care of.

What an awesome Spyder!
It also has the 'correct' wheels. Try to get the Spyder wheels if possible - they are one of the lightest factory options.

And Bi-xenons are old-school. LED's are the light of the future.

Just like an Audi guy!

LEDs are here, just not yet 'perfected'. I thought laser headlights were supposed to be the future.

Oh, yes. Just forgot to include it among the must-haves.
