Since I didn't get any takers.......and life is short, I took someone's advice on RL and got a white one! It is a fantastically fun car! Thanks guys -- we can close this thread now.

Thanks orthojoe -- it really is loads of fun. I'm working on making those crooked roads look a bit straighter!

Thanks mile2424 -- that picture you posted of the blue sky was too much and broke my willingness to hold out.......glad it did!

Congratulations! New or used? I see it was at the Porsche Center, a brand new dealership in San Antonio.

Thanks YoungTurk! It was bought used with just under 5,000 miles on it; Porsche Center was the dealer that sold it when new. They did a DME and said it had no overrevs. They also said it was the first one they received and sold.

Thanks khooni! I can't wait for it to show up this weekend -- about the only options I wouldn't have specced myself was the Alcantara pkg and white gauges. (And I did not realize that the Alcantara pkg includes the thicker rimmed steering wheel, so I definitely feel I came away with a "bonus".)

Very easy to do in Iowa. Lived there for 4 years.

I like your choice in cars, kyrocks. Hmmm.....lived in Iowa for 4 years -- in Iowa City at UIHC possibly? We definitely have plenty of twisty back roads......none with mountains though.....just glacial carved "hills" in NE Iowa.
