VIN: WP0CB2A87CS745201
Folks: Tonight, while checking Spyders for sale at Cars.com, I found one of the last MY2012 Spyders built - VIN: WP0CB2A87CS745201 - for sale at a dealer in Northern California. We have only one other car - #5202 - that comes after this on our list of the last Spyders produced at the factory built for the US market. This car was not on our original list we put together last September, which leads me to believe it was a custom order never reported at the dealer website since it was pre-sold. For someone in the market today, this is a unique opportunity to get your hands on a rare vehicle indeed - one of last Spyders built at the Zuffenhausen production line and perhaps the next to last car built for this market!
Saludos, Eduardo
PS Is it an ex-Póg mo thóin?

Did anybody get the SN from the silver LA Auto Show car? It was unique in that it had the Cayman R wheel finish, something I have not seen on any other Spyder. Has it shown up at other auto shows since?

Finding a Spyder with manual transmission and Sport Buckets is getting increasingly difficult. At this time neither Autotrader or ebay have a Spyder with this configuration. They seem to go really quick too, I saw two for sale last month. If you are willing to give up the sport buckets (I wouldn't recommend it) then there are a few options right now.
If I see something I'll let you know.

Sport buckets may not be best for me anyway. At 6'4", I seem to have better luck with the manual sport seats... able to adjust my butt lower and thighs up some for more headroom etc? Does that sound right to you guys? What I really wanted was the mexico blue that was for sale a couple months ago!!!!

I hear you on the seats too. Buckets are 'the ticket' on this car but the sport seats are more practical...and allow you to get the heated seats option. PDK aside, I think this Guards Red Spyder with vin #5201 is a great buy. I know the previous owner in NorCal who is a well-known collector with a reputation for taking immaculate care of his Porsches.

IMHO, the Sport Buckets are great for track use, but a PITA for daily/casual use. Have them in my .2RS and love them on track, but at 6'-2", not so much on the street.
As for the famed Riviera Blue Spyder, it has left Texas, spent a short time in Indiana, and will be on its way to the Keystone State an a few weeks for hopefully and long, long time.

So do you haul your own cars around or do you use a shipper?

Seats: 1" higher as stated above sounds about right, and I need the "tilt" feature in the seats. I really can't fit in a Cayman R with a helmet, but the spyder has limitless headroom! Or maybe get back into the GT3 cars
