Where's the PTS Speed Yellow Spyder.....

Yes, JSF101 from Texas. It was a June built date.
Should be in soon. Order date was the last week of March. Mine took 3 months. Nearly a month from Germany to the dealer.
Can't wait to see it.

The PTS Spyder of JSF101 in Speed Yellow was a mid-July production. Among last of all Spyders built. I am sure he will soon tell us more details. He expects it to be in Texas in early September. Saludos, z356

on vessel
my car is on a boat
I am at Parade in Savannah and the Meteor Gray with red interior is on display here along with hundreds of other beautiful Porsches
asked what would happen to the MG Spyder, they said when it was finished with it's marketing campaign, it would go to auction

And congratulations on your PTS 'Speed Yellow' Spyder! You are among a handful of US Spyders approved by PAG for PTS. All MY2012 Spyders will be rare since so few were produced. But the PTS will be the rarest of the entire '11/'12 lot! Saludos, z356

Pearl: I would think by now all Spyders produced at the end of this super abbreviated model year (done by mid-July) are already gone from Zuffenhausen. US allocations are either already here (eg Azure in VA or Aqua at Brumos) or about to land from their transport vessels at Rhode Island, Texas or California. But enjoy your visit to the Fatherland. They are still making tasty 'cookies' there, but in different models & flavors. Our Spyders are all out of the oven now! z356

I guess you are right --- however spotting a euro spec Spyder would be quite the sight wouldnt it? You can bet that if there is one at the museum/factory/Stuttgart dealership/etc i will find it and share it with you all.

Keep your eye out for a next generation Spyder prototype. Now that would be quite a sight...

If the Spyder or Cayman R get eventual approval for production in the new platform, you will not see prototypes testing in the street or at the Nurburgring until 2013/2014 at the earliest. In the meantime, I think we should at this time concentrate on celebrating the forum members that are getting their '12 Spyders and don't let someone here rain on our Parade! z356

I do not think there would be any prototypes out there yet.
But I would be very surprised if there are not Spyder and R versions of the 981, and a lot sooner than the end of the model run. While 500/year (~750 over a ~1.5 year period) for the Spyder is not huge volume, it still represents almost 20% of current annual 987 sales in the US (~3,000), along with huge amounts of positive press. And with VW's lofty sales goals across all brands, including Porsche, nothing can be ruled out.

not really PTS but....
it's exactly what I wanted!
many thanks to Andrew Pine and the gang at PCNA as well as Abigail and David at the Porsche Center. I certainly was told "no" more than once but these folks understand that a Speed Yellow Spyder was what I wanted and they made it happen
thanks!

sending the good ones to Cayman for posting on dspyda
here's a couple more from PDI at the dealer this morning
everyone says I should have got black wheels to match the rest of the trim
I really like the wheels the way they are, think black hides some of the beauty of the silver finish but maybe a set of black track wheels might be in order
also, either black seat belts and door pulls or yellow
ambivalent about clear side markers
